Yoni steaming, also known as vaginal steaming, is an ancient self-care practice embraced by various cultures worldwide. It involves sitting over a pot of warm, herb-infused steam to allow the therapeutic properties of the herbs to permeate the vaginal tissue to promote increased circulation, a balanced menstrual cycle, emotional well being, postpartum recovery, increased fertility, cleanse and detoxify vagina, Relieve hemorrhoids and just provide A natural, gentle way to nourish, detoxify and rejuvenate your body.

Steps to Use a Yoni Steam Bowl:

  1. Prepare the Herbs:

    •  Take a handful of herbs (about 1-2 tablespoons) and add them to the bowl.
  2. Boil Water:

    • Boil 4-6 cups of water. Once the water is boiling, carefully pour it over the herbs in the bowl.
  3. Allow Steeping:

    • Let the herbs steep in the hot water for about 10 minutes. This will allow the medicinal properties of the herbs to infuse the steam.
  4. Check the Temperature:

    • Before sitting down, check that the steam isn’t too hot. You can test the temperature by holding your hand above the steam to gauge if it’s comfortable.
  5. Prepare to Sit:

    • Find a comfortable spot where you can sit or squat over the bowl, such as on the toilet, a low chair, or a special yoni steam seat.
    • Drape a towel or blanket around your waist and over the bowl to create a steam tent. This will trap the steam and prevent it from escaping, focusing the heat and herbal steam on your vaginal area.
  6. Sit or Squat Over the Steam:

    • Gently lower yourself over the bowl. Keep your legs spread, and try to maintain a comfortable position. Ideally, you’ll want to stay over the steam for about 20-30 minutes.
    • Relax, breathe deeply, and take the time to meditate, reflect, or simply unwind.
  7. Finish Up:

    • Once you’ve finished your steam, you can take a few moments to relax before standing up. Be sure to hydrate and take it easy afterward.
  8. Clean the Bowl:

    • After the steam, thoroughly clean the bowl or pot to remove any leftover herbs and to keep it sanitary for future use.

Tips:

  • Frequency: Yoni steaming is typically done once a month or as needed, depending on your personal preferences and health considerations.
  • Comfort: Make sure you are comfortable during the process. If the steam becomes too hot, step away or adjust the towel.
